According to the Myanmar astrology, the morning half is called Wednesday and the evening half is referred to as ‘Yarhu’. That is why in Pagodas, we see eight posts/corners representing eight planets. Wednesday is different. If a person is born in the morning he will be given a name starting from letters ‘La, Wa’. The symbols will be Elephant (with tusk) and planet will be Mercury. The person born on a Thursday is named with the letters ‘Pa, Pha, Ba, Bha and Ma’ and the symbols will be Rat and Jupiter planet.
A Friday-born person is named with the letters “Tha, Ha“. The symbols will be a Guinea pig and Venus planet.
The person born on Saturday will be given a name beginning with the letter ‘Ta, Hta, Da, Dha, Na’. The symbols will be Dragon and Satan planet.
