Traveling Tip in Myanmar
Myanmar is a country deeply respectful of their religious and cultural traditions. Visitors will not cause offense if they note a few things.Remove shoes and socks before entering religious buildings and compounds. Some monasteries allow footwear in the compound but not inside the buildings, starting with the lowest step! Better make sure
first. It is also polite to remove shoes before entering a private home but socks may be left on.
Myanmar Dance
Myanmar dancing is essentially postures in movement of the feet, hip, head and hands. It is said that there are about 2000 ways of dancing in the Myanmar dance performance. They stem from 13 movements of the
head, 28 kinds of expressions with the eyes, nine movements of the neck 24 movements of single hands, 23 movements of combined hands, 38 kinds of leg movement, five acrobatic figures, eight ways of turning the body and 10 style of walking.
